Cambodia type approval certificate is called “TRC Certificate”. TRC stands for “Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia”, the regulatory body of telecommunication affair in Cambodia. One of the responsibilities of TRC is doing certification to telecommunication products that will be imported and sold to Cambodia. The purpose of this process is to make sure that the telecommunication product is complied with the local regulations.
Usually, once the product obtained compliance certificate, there will be labelling obligation applied. But the case is different for TRC certification. In TRC, once the compliance certificate is obtained, there is no labelling obligation applied. So, product can be imported and sold to the region once the certificate is issued.
Why We Care
One information that we shouldn’t miss in compliance certification process is labelling. Label is significant part of the process. Through labelling, both buyer and authority can see that the product is already complied applied regulation and standard. Therefore, the labelling rules must be followed correctly. However, for the case of Cambodia type approval, there is no labelling obligation. So, after the TRC certificate is issued, there is no additional TRC marks required to be added.
