The application of Domestic Component Level Approval (TKDN) for DVB-T2 Digital TV products has been sounded by Directorate General of Post and Telecommunication (SDPPI) since the issuance of Communication Ministry Regulation Number 4 of 2019 back on June 28th 2019, especially on article 9 and 11 of this regulation.
Article 9 of this regulation states:
- Digital broadcast television receivers equipment based on Digital TV Broadcasting- Second Generation Terrestrial (DVB-T2) as referred to in Article 4 paragraph (1) letter b number 1 must have a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of at least 20% and must comply with statutory provisions.
- Digital broadcast television receivers equipment based on Digital TV Broadcasting- Second Generation Terrestrial (DVB-T2) as referred in Article 4 paragraph (1) letter b number 2 must have a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of at least 20% and must comply with statutory provisions.
- Internet Protocol Set Top Box equipment as referred in Article 4 paragraph (4) letter a, must meet the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of at least 20%.

Basically, this announcement is to remind applicants that this provision will come into force soon by June 28th 2020. Later on, this also states that DVB-T2 Digital TV products that will be subject of this provision are those with size up to 42 inches (0 – 42 inches).
