On July 11th 2019, SDPPI held a seminar event, inviting many companies, especially importer, distributor, manufacturer, brand representative, and certification agents, including PT. Dimulti Pilar Narmadi. Below is the copy of invitation.
This event that took place in BBPPT (SDPPI Lab) was aimed to socialize authority’s plan to increase fee for any testing (functional test, RF test, EMI test, EMC test, calibration, etc) that is conducted in BBPPT (SDPPI Lab).

Considering following things below:
- Cost of measuring equipment;
- Cost of measuring equipment diagnosis, maintenance and repairmen;
- Difficulties level of testing that should be performed;
- Compared to domestic and foreign laboratories, testing cost at BBPPT (SDPPI Lab) is still relatively lower;
- Advance technological changes, convergence, and as a form of support to other domestic laboratories;
- Improving the quality of services.
Authority plans to increase testing fee in BBPPT (SDPPI Lab). The original amount of increasing proposed by authority was 40% from current testing fee. But, this got many objections from participants who suggested to keep 10% of price increasing instead of 40%.
However, conclusion of the meeting hasn’t been taken. And also, SDPPI confirmed that this new price will not be applied in the near future. But, it’s planned to be applied in the next 1 or 2 years ahead.
By this, we all hope that it’s not only the testing fee that is increased, but also the quality of the testing and overall services as well. So, this can bring something brighter for the industry. And if this new price is applied, for sure we’ll update our price list based on the current policy.
