We are writing here due to the importance announcement about new system that was recently applied by SDPPI Lab. Why does this new system matter? Because it will certainly affect on the certification process of your products.
Starting from the early February 2017, SDPPI Lab applied the new system for sample and documents submission. If previously we can submit the samples and documents to the lab manually by bringing the documents and samples to the Lab, now this way of submission is no longer applied. Starting from February 1st 2017, sample and document submission should get through the online system first, before bringing them to the Lab. So, we need to input the application data in the online system, and then Lab will issue the schedule of sample and document submission. And right on the schedule, we can bring the samples and supporting documents to the SDPPI Lab for submission.

Then, what it means to the application process that you’re doing now? Well, this online system is pretty good actually, but, because this is the early stage on the application of this online system, we see so many messes during the application. Previously, we’ve been informed that firstly, Lab will work for the application documents and samples that were submitted to them manually before the system was applied. And after all these documents are finished, then they start working on the application that already submitted through online system. What does it mean? Delay.
What we afraid here is not only the delay that happen to the project. We assume that the system is still not ready yet (Still on probation), so the possibility of the system to get down is bigger. It means: more delay. And the bad news is: this delay is not only happen to the customer that apply through pretest, but it also happen even for those who apply to SDPPI by skipping pretest. We have applied some applications (both using pretest and skipping pretest) through this online system since the early February. But until now, we don’t see any progress to the application.
As an agent, surely we don’t expect this delay to happen. But if this delay happens to your application, please understand this situation and be patient while we’re pushing the Lab to issue the schedule. This delay doesn’t only happen to few applications, but this happens to all application, regardless they are skipping pretest or not.
