2. Galvalume

Galvalume roof is a type of roof made of galvalume material, which is a mixture of galvanic and aluminum. This material has a high degree of corrosion resistance and extreme weather.

Galvalume has advantages in terms of impact resistance and high structural strength. In addition, galvalume also has good heat absorption, so it can help keep the temperature inside the building comfortable.

Although it is a little more expensive than spandex, these advantages make galvalume an excellent choice for building roofs that require a high level of safety and durability.

1. Materials

Spandexs, with a simpler composition, tend to be lighter and easier to shape, while galvalume, although stronger, may be more difficult to process.

2. Heat Absorption

Although both are made of aluminum and zinc, the heat absorption of the two is different. Spandex tends to be hotter than galvalume because of its higher conductive properties.

This can affect the temperature in buildings that use spandex roofs, especially in areas with hot climates. 

On the other hand, galvalume has a lower heat absorption, so it can help keep the temperature inside the building stable.

5. Thickness

Spandex is generally thinner than galvalume. This needs to be noted especially for the noise generated by rain or impact. 

Though thin, spandex can still provide good protection against extreme weather. While Galvalume, with a larger thickness, can provide better protection against noises.

6. Durability

Spandek tends to last longer and more durable than galvalume due to its lower corrosion properties. However, galvalume has better corrosion resistance than spandex, especially over longer periods of time. 

This makes galvalume more suitable for use in buildings that require additional corrosive protection.
