One of the key items to ensure the smoothness of DJID certification process is the proper documents preparation from the applicant. The certification process itself will take around 5-8 working days from the submission process until the certificate issuance date. If the documents are not well prepared you will lose your time for a week only to get the rejection notice from DJID that can cause some disruption to your shipment and sales schedule.
So, in this writing, let me explain to you about all documents you need to provide and how to prepare. We believe when you understand this article, your application will be processed smoothly.
- Product’s Specification
I believe many of applicant is confused between this document and the product brochure. This document should contain at least the model name and its technical information datasheet of the product that explains all about technical information like power rating, working environment, wireless/radio frequency function, firmware information and etc.
Meanwhile, the product’s brochure usually only explains the general information of how the product works, features, and not detail explanation regarding the technical data itself. - External Photos
The most proper way to provide this document is to provide the product’s photos at six angels (front side, back side, left side, right side, top side, and bottom side). Please also note, the coloured photo is a must for this requirement and with a proper resolution. - Declaration of Conformity (Dekelarasi Kesesuaian)
For this document item, we should be careful in choosing the appropriate radio frequency technology, frequency ranges, the output power information, and the appropriate regulation reference. Also, you need to fill it based on the actual testing data in the test report and you should fill the correct product information such as product name, trademark, and model number.
In addition, using this document cannot be more than 1 month than its signature date. This means, you need to make sure the correct timing of when you will submit the application to DJID website. The other things you should be aware to not forget the duty stamp and company stamp after signing this document. - Test Reports
In my previous writing, I already explain you how to prepare the testing process at each lab. So, before you start the testing process, you should really understand your product first to know which testing process and testing item are needed for the product. When you receive the test reports, you also need to check whether all product information and specification are really in accordance with the product specification you have. These preparation and treatments are implemented similarly whether the test reports are from the local labs or from the foreign labs.
In addition, DJID also accepts the test reports which are issued by any different company (not from the applicant). In this case, you need to provide a permission letter document from the test report owner or we usually call it as “test report authorization letter”. It is to proof that your company is allowed to use the test report files for the certification process. - Official Appointment Letter from Overseas Trademark Owner Company
This document is used as the proof that the certificate applicant company is officially appointed by the trademark owner company. The document can be as Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), distributorship agreement, license agreement, or etc. Basically, the document is signed by both local company certificate applicant and the trademark owner company.
We often find the case where the local company applicant does not have direct business relationship with the trademark owner company.
Let us take a look the case where applicant is a sole agent for brand holder for one car brand. In this case, usually the local company applicant only have the agreement with the brand holder, meanwhile its car product uses many parts from different manufacturers that have their own trademark. In this condition the local company does not have any agreements with the part manufacturers. Then, how to deal with this situation. You can use a combination document that consists of the following documents:- MoU/agreement between the certificate applicant company and car brand holder
- MoU/agreement or any cooperation letter between the car brand holder and car part’s manufacturer.
That’s all the required documents for DJID certification process. I hope after reading this you could understand the purposes of each document. For more DJID updated information, please visit our blog at https://www.dimulti.id/blog/.
