The way these two cooktops heat up is very different.Induction cooktops heat cookware, such as pots or pans, directly using electromagnetic energy. This allows for fast and efficient heating, which cuts down on cooking time. 

Electric cooktops, on the other hand, conduct heat through heating elements that are plugged into a power source, so they take longer to reach the desired temperature.

From a practical point of view, many argue that induction cookers are superior because of their heating speed and more precise temperature control.

However, electric stoves can be more easily found and are generally more affordable. So, the choice of which one is more practical really depends on each user’s preferences and needs.

2. Energy Efficiency

From their energy efficiency, induction cookers are claimed to be better than electric stoves. This is because induction cookers can save more energy than electric stoves.

Induction cookers use electromagnetic reactions to deliver heat to the food in the pan. The electromagnetic ability can reach 80 to 90 percent. 

Meanwhile, electric stoves can only achieve energy efficiency of around 70 percent.

3. Safety

Induction cookers only heat the iron particles in the cookware being used, making the risk of fire very small.

In addition, they are equipped with various helpful automatic features, such as a cooking duration setting and a timer to turn off the stove, increasing safety during use.

Electric cooktops, on the other hand, tend to stay hot after use, as the heat generated tends to last longer.

That being said, induction cooktop wins in terms of their safety.

4. Maximum Cooking Temperature

The maximum temperature produced by electric stoves tends to be higher than that of induction stoves. 

Electric cookers can reach temperatures of around 393 degrees Celsius, while induction cookers can only reach temperatures of around 351 degrees Celsius. 

This difference makes electric stoves more suitable for cooking methods that require very high temperatures, but induction stoves still wins in terms of efficiency and more precise temperature control.

5. Price

Price is often a major consideration in choosing goods, including stoves.Induction cookers are generally more expensive compared to electric cookers available in the market.

Despite the higher initial price, many argue that induction cookers are more durable and efficient thanks to newer technology. 

This investment can be worth the benefits in terms of cooking speed and energy savings, making it an attractive option for users who want to get optimal quality and performance.
