For a country like Mexico where local testing is mandatory, knowing the sample quantity and set up is very important. Especially, because in some tests, it requires special set up. Therefore, sample requirement for one test can be different from sample requirement for another test. For Mexico Type approval, sample quantity and set up depends on the type of testing that will be conducted. In common, only 2 samples are required. One sample is used to do RF testing, and another one is used to do Safety test. However, when the product’s feature is more complex, usually extra sample is required. For example, when the product is access point that has DFS feature, the DFS also needs to be tested in separate sample. Therefore, we need to provide one extra sample to do DFS test. Therefore, for access point with DFS feature, there will be 3 samples required.
