Approval label is one important element to be affixed before it actually goes to the market. Usually, when type of approval certificate is issued, the applicant will be granted the right to affix approval label on the product or on packaging. Through this label, buyer can see what the approval certificates that have been obtained by this product, or what standards that this product has been complied with. Besides, type approval label on product or on packaging is also useful during customs clearance or post-market surveillance.

MTIT Label for Yaman Type Approval

Yemen type approval certificate for telecom and radio frequency products going into Yemen market is called “MTIT Certificate”. This certificate is issued by Ministry of Telecommunications & information Technology (MTIT) of Yemen, that’s why the certificate is called “MTIT”. Unlike other countries that apply strict labelling rules, Yaman MTIT doesn’t have labelling obligation. Once a telecommunication product is certified by MTIT in Yemen, there is no labelling requirement applied. Therefore, once the certificate is issued by MTIT, the product can be sold or distributed directly in Yemen without any additional effort to put additional Yemen approval label.

Why We Care

Approval label is something that we shouldn’t miss before distributing the product into specific market. Because if we missed to affix the label, we can be potentially declared as violating the rule. This usually happens in some countries that has labelling rules. So, no wonder if many people put more attention on Label. And we, as product approval consultant, will make sure that labelling rules are informed properly to customers to make sure the rule is followed correctly. But, for the case of Yemen type approval, there’s no labelling obligation. So, if you have obtained Yaman type approval certificate, you can directly export or sell the product to Yaman market.
