Components of Vacuum Cleaners

In a vacuum cleaner, there are some key components that you need to know so that you can understand how it works and perform proper care. Let’s discuss each of these components!

1. Motor

The electric motor is the most important component of a vacuum cleaner. This motor is responsible for generating a strong absorption power through the fan wheels that are needed to suck dust and dirt from the surface.

And also, the stronger the motor, the more effective the vacuum cleaner is to work sucking dirt and dust!

2. Filter

Filters are parts that filter dust and particles from air sucked into a vacuum cleaner.

These filters are placed to perform filtering so that dust that has been sucked does not come back into the air from the vacuum cleaner.

Keep in mind that you need to clean the dirt in the filter regularly or replace it according to the manufacturer’s instructions so that the vacuum cleaner can keep working optimally and maintain the air quality around it.

3. Hose

A tube or hose refers to the component that connects a nozzle or vacuum cleaner head to a motor and a dust bag.

These tubes are usually made of solid and flexible plastic so that you can reach a variety of different areas easily with.

4. Nozzle

The next on our list of components of vacuum cleaner is the nozzle.

A nozzle is a part of a vacuum cleaner that comes directly into contact with the surface to be cleaned.

Usually manufacturers provide a variety of nozzles designed for different types of floors or surfaces, such as hard floors, carpets, or furniture.

Whenever used, the nozzle needs to be cleaned thoroughly so that there is no dirt left. Doing so will also make the lifespan of the nozzle longer so that you do not have to buy a new one in the near future.

5. Containers

A dust bag or container is a place where dust and dirt sucked by a vacuum cleaner is stored. A vacuum cleaner can use dust bags that need to be replaced periodically or containers that can be empty and cleaned.

Make sure you choose a model that matches your preferences so that its use can be maximum for cleaning each area.

6. Buttons and Cables

Buttons and cables refer to the operating components of the vacuum cleaner. These buttons allow you to turn on, turn off, or make vacuum cleaning settings as needed.

The electrical cable connects the vacuum cleaner to the power source so that the engine is on and operating properly.

Be sure to keep the cable in good condition so that there is no risk of harm when you use it.

7. Water Tank

If you are using a vacuum cleaner with a wet & dry type, you need to pay extra attention when injecting water.

If the tank of the vacuum cleaner has reached its full capacity during use, it is advisable to stop operation and empty the tank from water.

8. Intake and Exhaust Port

The intake port is a component of a vacuum cleaner that functions as a dust suction or as an inlet.

Meanwhile, the exhaust port acts as a drain for the air that has been filtered by the filter after the dust injection process.
