Dear Customers and Friends! Hope this announcement finds you well. Here we come up again with the updated news from SDPPI regarding the new list of Recognized Overseas Testing Labs.
Yesterday, March 27th, 2024, SDPPI just dropped another new regulation regarding the new list of recognized overseas testing labs. This new regulation is called KEPDIRJEN SDPPI NO 109 TAHUN 2024, and mainly concern about “Overseas Test Center Designation for the Purpose of Telecommunication Tools and/or Telecommunication Devices certification”.
As we all know, the previous overseas test lab recognition regulation was KEPDIRJEN SDPPI NO 11 TAHUN 2021. This regulation has been in force since January 22nd, 2021, until now. With the updates happening in the test lab such as lab name/address change, labs merging, acquisition etc., SDPPI thinks that they need to update their recognized overseas lab list. That’s why KEPDIRJEN SDPPI NO 109 TAHUN 2024 is issued as a replacement of KEPDIRJEN SDPPI NO 11 TAHUN 2021. What’s new from this regulation? Is your lab still recognized by SDPPI or is it not? From the translated regulation above, we can see the list of recognized test Lab for HKT products [Mobile Telephone, Handheld Computer, and Tablet Computer] on the table from page 6-13. In total, there are 37 labs recognized. While Lab list on table from page 14 to 31, it is for non-HKT product, or other products excepts Mobile Telephone, Handheld Computer, and Tablet Computer.
This new Regulation is stipulated on March 27th, 2024. However, the enforcement date will be from April 1st to December 31st, 2024. So, we can expect for the new Recognized Overseas Testing Labs list before December 31st 2024.
