RRA is a governmental body established on February 5th, 1966, through the issuance of presidential decree No.2397. This body is part of the Ministry of Science and ICT. As the government body that’s responsible to ensure the research and development of national’s communication and broadcasting Industry, RRA also bear some duties such as conducting research and development on national radio wave resources, doing effort to protect radio wave allocation, performing test on broadcasting and communication equipment, doing international frequency registration, cooperate with international agencies, establish national standard for broadcasting and communication equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One duty of RRA which is related to South Korea Type Approval is performing product test and issuing the compliance certificate. For a broadcasting or communication product, obtaining KC approval issued by RRA means that this product has complied with the communication and broadcasting regulation in South Korea. Hence, this product can be legally traded and used within the territory of South Korean market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
