Desiccant Air Dryer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another commonly used type is the desiccant air dryer. This type of air dryer uses a silica gel or alumina to remove moisture from compressed air. There are two columns of drains that alternate in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On one column, the dryer absorbs water vapor from the compressed air, while the other column regenerates using air pressure.
